Lombok tengah-MP-Wakil Gubernur NTB Dr.Hj.Sitti Rohmi Djalilah, mengimbau santri Pondok Pesantren Nurul Mukhlisin NWDI untuk mulai mengkampanyekan “cegah nikah dini”. Ummi Rohmi sapaan akrab Wagub NTB juga meminta para santri untuk tidak melakukan pernikahan dini karena penting dilakukan untuk menghindari stunting dan resiko kematian ibu dan bayi.
“Anak-anakku semua, hindari pernikahan dini, jangan sampai, baru lulus dari madrasah, kalian menikah, itu tidak baik untuk kesehatan kalian semua,” pesan Wagub saat menghadiri haul ke-14 Ponpes Nurul Mukhlisin NWDI Pringgarata, Lombok Tengah pada Ahad, 23 Januari 2022.
Menuntut ilmu adalah wajib hukumnya. Oleh karena itu, Ummi Rohmi meminta santri untuk terus melanjutkan studinya.
“Pemerintah telah menyiapkan banyak beasiswa, Ummi optimis, setiap niat yang baik, akan selalu dapat kemudahan dari Alloh SWT, untuk itu, tanamkan niat baik dari sekarang, untuk menimba ilmu setinggi mungkin,” ujar Wagub NTB.
Provinsi NTB sendiri di tahun 2021 lalu telah memiliki Perda tentang Pencegahan dan Perkawinan Anak. Perda ini dibuat menyusul tingginya angka perkawinan anak di NTB.
Perda tersebut merupakan upaya menekan laju pernikahan usia anak. Pada 5 tahun terakhir, angka pernikahan usia anak di NTB cukup tinggi.
Untuk tahun 2020 saja, berdasarkan data Dinas Pendidikan dan Kebudayaan (Dikbud) NTB, perkawinan anak di bawah umur tingkat SMA/SMK sederajat mencapai 874 kasus.
Turut hadir pada Kesempatan tersebut Ketua Umum PB NWDI Dr. TGB. Muhammad Zainul Majdi bersama istri Hj Erica Zainul Majdi beserta jajaran pimpinan ponpes dan tokoh masyarakat lainnya. (Diskominfotik-MP)
