Tampak turut mendampingi Bupati,Ketua MUI,Ketua NU dan Ketua PD Muhammadiyah Kabupaten Bima,Camat Woha Irfan H.M Nur S.Sos,Lebe Nae Woha,Muspika dan para Kades Se-kecamatan Woha.
Bupati Bima dalam sambutannya mengatakan bahwa tugas pemerintah adalah membangun sarana ibadah tersebut dan selanjutnya akan diserahkan kepada masyarakat untuk dan difungsikan.Berkaitan dengan pemanfaatan masjid kebanggaan masyarakat tersebut.
Bupati,menjelaskan,”Pemerintah akan kembali duduk bersama elemen masyarakat dalam hal ini organisasi,baik Majelis Ulama Indonesia,NU,Muhammadiyah maupun Ormas Islam lainnya untuk membahas secara bersama bagaimana masjid megah ini bisa dimanfaatkan dengan baik untuk kemaslahatan umat”.Terang Bupati.
Pembangunan Masjid Agung Kabupaten Bima ini diawali dengan sayembara pada tahun 2018.Sesuai Nota Kesepakatan (MoU) antara Bupati Bima dan Pimpinan DPRD,kontrak pelaksanaan dengan multiyears 2019-2021,mulai dari perencanaan dan konstruksi dengan total nilai konstruksi Rp.78,02 Milyar.
Pada tahun 2020,penyerapan anggaran senilai Rp 35 Milyar dan pada tahun 2021 senilai Rp. 43,020 Milyar dan ditargetkan rampung tanggal 17 Desember 2021.
Konstruksi bangunan sendiri mencakup luas total lantai dasar 6,383 m2 dan luas total ruang sholat laki-laki dan perempuan 2.063 m2.
Lantai dasar digunakan untuk ballroom,pusat kegiatan keagamaan dan kemasyarakatan. Masjid Agung juga memiliki luas pelataran 2.091 m2 utk spot wisata religi.(Prokim-MP)
