Pada momentum peringatan tersebut,sekaligus diresmikan Masjid agung aikon kabupaten bima yang ada di samping kantor bupati,dadibou kecematan woha oleh Bupati bima Hj.Indah dhamayamti putri, SE.
Peresmian ditandai dengan
penarikan tirai papan nama masjid dan penanda tanganan prasasti oleh Bupati Bima Hj. Indah Dhamayanti Putri SE didampingi Wakil Bupati Bima Drs.H. Dahlan M.Noer, Danrem 162/Wirabhakti Brigjen TNI Lalu Rudy Irham Srigede ST, M.Si, Ketua DPRD kabupaten Bima Muhammad Putera Ferryandi S.IP, Dandim 1608/Bima Letkol Inf. Muhammad Zia Ulhaq, S.Sos, Kapolres Bima AKBP Heru Sasongko SIK,Kapolres Bima Kota AKBP Henry Novika Chandra, SIK, MH dan Sekretaris Daerah Kabupaten Bima Drs. H. M Taufik HAK, M.Si Jumat (1/4), menandai peresmian dimulainya pemanfaatan Masjid Agung Kabupaten Bima tersebut sebagai kegiatan ibadah dan pusat kegiatan keagamaan bagi masyarakat .
Bupati Bima dalam sambutannya mengucapkan rasa syukur dan ucapan terima kasih atas diresmikannya Masjid Agung kabupaten Bima.”Dukungan semua pihak dan kebesaran Allah SWT menuntun kita semua untuk menyatukan hati dan pikiran membangun dan meletakkan fondasi keislaman di Kabupaten Bima yang terkenal dengan ulama-ulama besarnya. Sesuai dengan kemampuan daerah Kabupaten Bima dan atas dukungan dari DPRD melalui pembiayaan di 2020-2021, Alhamdulillah masjid ini berdiri sebagai simbol dan kebanggaan masyarakat Bima.” Ujar Bupati Bima mengawali sambutannya.
Dihadapan para pimpinan para alim ulama, tokoh masyarakat, pejabat teras hingga masyarakat yang hadir pada masjid yang memiliki luas bangunan 6.474 M2 tersebut, Bupati Bima menyampaikan, “Di periode kedua Dinda – Dahlan, tentunya keberhasilan mewujudkan pembangunan masjid agung ini mudah-mudahan akan membawa keberkahan bagi Dou Labo Dana Mbojo tercinta, tentunya kita berharap masjid ini adalah simbol tempat menegakkan dakwah Islam dan menyatukan perbedaan.
Secara khusus Bupati menyampaikan terima kasih atas dukungan banyak pihaka dalam pembangunan rumah ibadah terbesar di kabupaten Bima ini. “Saya dan Wakil Bupati seraya syukur kehadirat Allah SWT juga mengucapkan terima makih kepada para ulama besar, Imam masjid yang memberikan masukan dalam pembangunan Masjid.
Juga secara khusus ucapan terima kasih kepada DPRD kabupaten Bima atas dukungan penganggaran dan pengawasan dalam proses pembangunan masjid. Begitu bahagia rasanya di periode kedua saya dan Wakil Bupati bisa meresmikan dan mempersembahkan Masjid Agung ini, semoga tercatat sebagai bagian dalam peradaban Islam di kabupaten Bima”. Ungkap Bupati menutup sambutannya.”
Sebelumnya, Kepala Dinas Perumahan Rakyat dan Kawasan Permukiman (Perkim) Kabupaten Bima M. Taufik, ST, MT dalam laporannya memaparkan, bangunan masjid mencakup lantai dasar seluas 6,383 m2 digunakan untuk ballroom, pusat kegiatan keagamaan dan kemasyarakatan dengan luas pelataran 2.091 m2 untuk spot wisata religi. Sementara lantai satu berfungsi sebagai ruang sholat pria seluas 2.025 m2 dan Pelataran 2.877 m2 serta lantai dua yang diperuntukan untuk ruang sholat wanita seluas 1.080 m2.
Setelah menyelesaikan pelaksanaan konstruksi masjid selama dua tahun anggran 2020-2021 dengan sistem kontrak tahun jamak (multi years)dengan total nilai konstruksi sebesar Rp. 78,02 Milyar dimana pada tahun 2020 menyerap anggaran Rp.35 milyar dan tahun 2021 sebesar Rp. 43,02 milyar diatas lahan seluas 4,5 hektar.
