Rencana pengengembangan Hak Guna Usaha (HGU) komoditi Sorghum di Desa Sampungu menjadi Pilot Project penanaman Sorgum seluas kurang lebih 200 Hektar”. Disamping itu terdapat lahan yang diusulkan untuk lokasi Tambak diluar lokasi Rencana HGU seluas 88 ha, berdasarkan hasil survey yang dilakukan tanggal 2 Oktober 2022.
Akan tetapi mengingat Lahan tersebut termasuk lahan sawah yang dilindung (LSD), sehingga tidak dapat direkomendasikan untuk alih fungsi lahan”. Terang Bupati pada ekspose yang turut dihadiri Wakil Bupati Drs. H. Dahlan. M.Noer, Unsur FORKOPIMDA, Sekda Drs. H. M.Taufik HAK M.Si, Asisten II Setda Ir.Indra Jaya, Asisten I Pemkot Bima dan Kepala OPD terkait lingkup Pemkab Bima.
Dijelaskan Bupati,Desa Sampungu berada pada hamparan seluas 17.000 hektar termasuk lahan pertanian dan pemukiman di mana sebagian besar merupakan wilayah pegunungan dengan 12 hektar wilayah pemukiman
Pertanian garapan lahan datar mencakup 2.800 hektar dengan komoditi utama padi dan jagung. potensi lahan garapan untuk pengembangan pertanian seluas 2.000 hektar dan sangat memungkinkan untuk pengembangan pertanian sorgum tahap pertama seluas 200 hektar melalui pola kemitraan antara Pemerintah Pusat dengan Pemerintah Kabupaten Bima
Setelah menyimak pemaparan Bupati, Jenderal Moeldoko yang didampingi Wabup Dahlan M. Noer, Kadis Pertanian dan Perkebunan beserta para pejabat terkait lainnya melakukan peninjauan lapangan lahan yang berada di desa Sampungu tersebut.(Prokim-MP)
